花粉の季節／The hay fever season

緑が眩しい季節です。

景色はとても美しいですが、実は大量の花粉が飛んでいて、しかも今年の花粉は通年の何倍も強いらしく、今までなんのアレルギー反応を示さなかった人も、ここ２、３週間は症状に苦しんでいます。（わたしもその一人:(

I’ve heard that allergy-producing pollens this year are so much stronger than the usual ones, that even people have never had an allergy like me also have got strong responses in these few weeks.

先日外で一日中、人の窯出しを見ていたら、そこでも花粉を吸ったらしくて強い鼻のかゆみに襲われました。

その後ひどい風邪を引き一週間寝込んでしまい、だいぶ制作予定から遅れてしまいましたが、そろそろ復帰できそう！（ブログ書いてるくらいだし）

The doctor told me that I had both of the allergy and the cold…:( Now, I’m getting over it though. Ah, I’m dying to touch clay!

次の素焼きを待つ作品達…。

It was a really beautiful day, today! I took lunch outside and enjoyed it a lot. It is much easier to make sculptures when it’s warm and bright. I can get motivated!

I’m planning to have a Raku firing soon in May. I want to try some new glazes for my new sculptures. This is really exciting…!!!

2011春の工房

工房にもすっかり春がやってきました。

It seems Spring has finally come to Leverrett, too!

日当りもいいし、花壇に花も咲いている。しかしボロいなあ、この建物…。今日は午前中は誰も来ませんでした。たまにこんな日もあります。

今週もまた素焼き、本焼きの予定。がんばるぞっ！
